Active Duty Sailor
Jase Daniels is an active duty linguist in the US Navy. He is known for having been discharged twice under the former law known as Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and one of the first service members to return to active duty after the law was repealed late 2011. Jase made national headlines when he was profiled on the front cover of Stars and Stripes newspaper about being an openly gay sailor stationed overseas while in the same article rebuking statements from the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff regarding his disapproval of 'gays in the military'. He is a Middle Eastern language specialist with knowledge in Hebrew and PersianFarsi. Jase is currently stationed in Georgia and is accompanied by his husband.
